TOUCH A TRUCK IS BACK!

It's back... the Avoca Fire Department Touch-A-Truck has returned in 2024 on May 11 from 10 am - 3 pm. there will be lots of things to do for the kids like seeing local fire apparatus both new and old, tractor trailers, and other specialized vehicles such as the Police and maybe even a SWAT truck. We will also have kid friendly activities such as:

West Side Mutual Aide Smoke trailer for fire education

Teaching children how to use a fire extinguisher

NEW THIS YEAR: A special area where the kids can help us with one of our upcoming fundraisers. We will be doing a t-shirt sale later this year to raise money to donate to Children's Cancer Awareness. So how can the kids help? We will be setting up an area where the kids can draw an Avoca Fire Dept patch in conjunction with Children's Cancer Awareness ... we will then post all the patches drawn on our Facebook page and the one with the most likes will be the patch that is added to the shirt that we sell for the fundraiser.

we will also have some raffles, food trucks, and much more.

doors will open at 10 am. admission will be $5 per person, kids 3 and under are free. All proceeds benefit the Avoca Fire Department
